About this event

Family & Education • Children & Youth

Please note that, due to our funding, our workshops are only open to parents/carers/professionals who live or work in South Gloucestershire (or who have a child at school in South Glos).

Does your child struggle with loud noises, itchy tags in their clothing? Perhaps you have a thrill seeker who's always running, jumping and looking for more adventure.

All these can be clues to help you understand how your child is processing the information from the world around them.

In this workshop we will:

🟡Explore what sensory processing is and how sensory differences may affect your child?

🟡Learn about the 8 senses (yes 8!)

🟡Share strategies and ideas to help support your child's sensory differences

This 3-hour session is for families with children aged 0 - 25 and will be delivered ONLINE via Zoom. The main workshop and presentation will be around 2 hours long and will be recorded. There will be plenty of time at the end for further discussion around the subject. This will not be recorded.

Your child doesn't need a diagnosis for you to attend.

The workshop will be delivered by Corrina from Platypus Training, who has a wealth of personal and professional experience of neurodiversity and a masters in Autism. She has worked as a Family Services Manager for over 15 years and has developed services for families, children and young people. Corrina has extensive experience of working with families where there are children with autism and ADHD.
