UNDERSTANDING AND WORKING WITH ISSUES OF DOMESTIC ABUSE
3 evenings 7 – 9 pm starting Thursday 17 Nov – certificated course

In the Continuing Professional Development course you will learn:
• how to unravel statistics of domestic abuse
• to understand tactics of abuse
• the signs, symptoms and indicators
• to identify power imbalances
• transferential issues when dealing with abuse
• about working with coercive control
• how to recognise collusive responses
This course is ideal for all mental health practitioners, including trainee as well as qualified counsellors. It is also suitable for GPs, health and social care practitioners, social workers, teachers, law enforcement practitioners and anyone who wants to understand issues of domestic abuse.
