Understanding ARFID - 12th December, 10:30am – 1pm, delivered online via Teams.

After the training you will receive the session slides, additional resources and a CPD certificate.


*We have one other alternative date for this training. The 27th of March 2026, available to book later in the year.


The aim of the training:

At the end of the session participants should leave with sound knowledge of ARFID and will understand and recognise the signs, symptoms, and misconceptions.


Participants will value the seriousness of ARFID and acknowledge the effects it can have for the eating distress individual and their loved ones.


Gaining valuable knowledge on ways to work with the people in their care and know when to reach out to appropriate service providers as a result of engaging in 'Understanding ARFID' training provided by Eating Distress North East.


The learning outcomes:

Learning Outcome 1: A broader understanding of ARFID.


Learning Outcome 2: Understanding signs and symptoms.


Learning Outcome 3: Exploring misconceptions.


Learning Outcome 4: Ideas on how to talk to someone about ARFID.


Learning Outcome 5: Strategies and when to seek further help.
