Understanding autism and mental health - a co-produced webinar
Event Information
About this Event
In this co-produced and co-delivered seminar we discuss how mental health issues affect autistic young people and what professionals can do to support them. We will examine the barriers faced by autistic young people to accessing appropriate mental health care as well as the common misunderstandings that lead to misdiagnosis.
Joining this session gives participants a unique opportunity to hear directly from autistic young people about the challenges they face and what adjustments they need professionals to make to help improve their wellbeing.
We will also demonstrate how to use our award-winning ‘Know Your Normal’ toolkit - a resource created by young people for young people.
To find out more about Know Your Normal, head to the Ambitious about Autism website.
