A workshop for carers who support adults with autism who live in Cardiff or the Vale. This includes parents, carers, partners, friends etc.

About this Event

Aims of the day:

• To increase your knowledge and understanding of autism

• To increase your understanding of supporting someone with autism

• To increase your knowledge about available support

• To have time to think about your own wellbeing

Who is the workshop for: Carers who support adults (16+) with autism who live in Cardiff or the Vale of Glamorgan. This includes parents, carers, partners, friends etc. Either you, or the person you care for, must live in Cardiff or the Vale of Glamorgan. For similar services in your local area, please contact your local Integrated Autism Service.

When: Wednesday 4th September 10am – 3pm (refreshments available from 9.30)

Facilitated by: Dr Rona Aldridge, Clinical Psychologist, Integrated Autism Service

Structure: There will be tea breaks and a break for lunch. We can provide refreshments, but unfortunately, we are not able to provide lunch. There is a café nearby where lunch can be purchased.

Where: Seminar Room, Hafan Y Coed building, Llandough Hospital, Penlan Road, Llandough, CF64 2XX

Parking: There is visitor parking in the hospital grounds, please allow plenty of time to park as it can be difficult to find a space. As you will be there for more than 4 hours, you will need to enter your registration details into the parking iPad in the main reception of the hospital.

Please note, the temperature in the room can vary; it can be quite warm but also quite cold.
