About this Event

Understanding Autism – through the eyes of students, families and professionals

Autism is a lifelong, developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people, and how they experience the world around them.

Our understanding autism sessions will feature talks from students, families and expert practitioners. This will help to provide us with a unique insight into the reality of living with autism from a range of perspectives helping to develop our knowledge and understanding and how we can best support our students in our own setting.

The sessions will cover structure, environment, communication methods and sensory giving a range of strategies and resources to take back and use in school.

Alistair Crawford leads this 3 session programme:

  • 26 September 2019
  • 17 October 2019
  • 7 November 2019

Places are available at £150 for DTSA members and £225 for non-members.
