Jed Wilson an AE pension specialist from True Potential is coming to The Clare Foundation to conduct an informal drop in workshop for free advice on AE Pensions. All are invited who haven’t yet staged or need advice.
2016 is the year that small employers (including charities) must legally offer their employee(s) a workplace pension even if you have just one employee.
The workshop will focus on:
- What is Auto-Enrolment?
- Your legal requirements
- How to get compliant and not a fine from the Pensions Regulator ( even if everyone Opts out they need to prove this)
- Set up process and how to administer the pensions
- A demo of TP AE solution
For charities, Jed is offering to do all the set up work and advice Pro BONO. In addition to this he can conduct Pension Surgeries in your office and meet with all employees on a one to one basis for 30 - 40 minutes to make sure their pension is set up properly, show them how to use the website and app, do some risk profiling to make sure they are in the appropriate funds / risk category, etc.
Jed Wilson is a successful businessman, tireless charity campaigner and international financial planner. Having set up prosperous practices in the UK, Switzerland and Canada he is now focusing his talents with True Potential in London. A forward thinking investment company with it’s revolutionary Impulse Save App.
While helping others get their finances in shape he has also dedicated much of his life to the charity sector, some of his notable achievements being:
- Committee Member of the Swiss Red Cross. (Geneva) helped raise over 4M CHF institutional fund raising.
- Trustee of Anne Frank Frank Trust UK London
- Director and Co Founder of the Plug ( Anti Kid trafficking charity based in Ghana )
- Director of the Barcapel Foundation
- Bulldog Trust. On committee to advise charities on pensions and Auto Enrolment
His speech ‘Who put the cat food in the tin?’ will enable him to tell the incredible story how his family made a fortune in Pet-food. How they were the first company to can Dog and Cat Food in UK and at one time they controlled over 20% of the entire pet-food market! That would be worth billions today. They sold out in 1962 for £10 million to Spillers who then sold it to Nestle. Jed’s grandfather was a Scottish industrialist but also an old Scottish puritan. He didn’t believe in inherited wealth and he gave 90% of his wealth to charity which Jed helps administer via Barcapel. Jed and family give away around £1 million a year and have given over £30M to various great charity causes since the 1970s.
