This training session is appropriate for all teaching staff working with children and young people.

The ‘Blanks Model’ is widely used to identify what types of questions children can understand and can help us to consider the language we use when working with children.

This session will allow you to:

Understand the ‘Blanks Model’
Identify the level of language your students can understand
Develop your student's understanding of more complex questions
Know how to adapt your own language to better support your students to understand what they are being asked, both within the classroom and during structured activities

This training session will be face-to-face through a mix of written slides, video clips and spoken information. This training is delivered as part of a small, hands-on members, group workshop (there will be no more than 20 attendees and only 1 person from each school may attend this training session due to limited numbers

A maximum of 2 members of teaching staff per setting are able to access this training and booking will close two weeks prior to the date of the training.
