About this Event
The aim of the course is to develop an understanding of clotting tests including factor assays, APTT and PT. How to interpret the results and the latest evidence in treatments including Direct oral anticoagulants, warfarin therapies and heparin. The course is ran by an experienced clinician and is suitable for any AHP that take bloods and wonders what the results actually mean. Reference to longer term medical therapies in Atrial fibrillation , embolus and stroke
This course will cover:
Clotting results
A detailed evaluation of the blood film
Drug therapies
Relevance to short and long term conditions
The course will be delivered in a 90 minute interactive lecture followed by thirty minute question and answer session. Two hours of self-directed learning will be required to complete the course.
