Mae’r cwrs hwn ar ddeall cam-drin domestig ac ymddygiad gorfodi a rheoli fel arfer yn anelu at roi’r wybodaeth a’r sgiliau i’r cyfranogwyr i:
- Diffinio Cam-drin Domestig: Deall natur amlochrog cam-drin domestig, nid yn unig trais corfforol ond hefyd camdriniaeth emosiynol, seicolegol, rhywiol ac ariannol.
- Esbonio Ymddygiad Gorfodi a Rheoli (CCB): Diffinio CCB yn glir a’i swyddogaeth fel patrwm o weithredoedd bwriadol i niweidio, cosbi neu ddychryn dioddefwr.
- Gwahaniaethu rhwng CCB a mathau eraill o gamdriniaeth: Cydnabod nodweddion unigryw CCB, gan bwysleisio natur barhaus a systematig y rheolaeth a’i heffaith ar annibyniaeth y dioddefwyr.
- Cydnabod cyffredinrwydd ac effaith cam-drin domestig: Deall graddfa’r broblem a’r canlyniadau difrifol i unigolion, teuluoedd a chymdeithas.
- Nodi gwahanol fathau o gam-drin domestig: Adnabod mathau gwahanol o gamdriniaeth sy’n gallu digwydd ochr yn ochr â neu fel rhan o CCB.
- Deall y gyfraith a’r polisïau perthnasol: Cael gwybodaeth am y fframweithiau a’r polisïau cyfreithiol sy’n ymwneud â cham-drin domestig a rheolaeth orfodol (e.e. Deddf Cam-drin Domestig 2021 yn y DU).
Trwy gwblhau’r cwrs hwn, bydd pobl yn fwy galluog i adnabod, deall ac ymateb i gam-drin domestig ac ymddygiad gorfodol/rheoli, gan gyfrannu yn y pen draw at ddiogelwch a lles y rhai sy’n cael eu heffeithio.
Sylwch fod y cwrs hwn yn cael ei gyflwyno gyda rhybudd iechyd/sbardun cryf. Byddwn yn sôn am blant, pobl ifanc ac oedolion, ond bydd y ffocws ar wella ymatebion proffesiynol i drais rhywiol yn hytrach na manylu ar ei natur, gan ein bod yn cydnabod y risg o sbarduno neu ail-drawmateiddio dysgwyr.

A course on understanding domestic abuse and coercive, controlling behaviour typically aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to:
- Define Domestic Abuse: Understand the multifaceted nature of domestic abuse beyond physical violence, encompassing emotional, psychological, sexual, and financial abuse.
- Explain Coercive and Controlling Behaviour (CCB): Clearly define CCB and its function as a pattern of acts intended to harm, punish, or frighten a victim.
- Differentiate CCB from Other Forms of Abuse: Recognise the distinct characteristics of CCB, emphasising the ongoing and systematic nature of control and its impact on victim autonomy.
- Recognise the Prevalence and Impact of Domestic Abuse: Understand the scale of domestic abuse and its devastating consequences for individuals, families, and society.
- Identify Different Types of Domestic Abuse: Recognise various forms of abuse that may be present alongside or as part of CCB.
- Understand Relevant Legislation and Policy: Gain knowledge of legal frameworks and policies related to domestic abuse and coercive control in their specific jurisdiction (e.g., the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 in the UK).
By completing this course, individuals will be better equipped to identify, understand, and respond to domestic abuse and coercive controlling behaviour, ultimately contributing to the safety and well-being of those affected.

**Please note that this course is being delivered with a strong health / trigger warning. We will be talking about children, young people and adults, but the course will focus on improving professional responses to sexual violence rather than the specifics of what sexual violence looks like because we recognise the risk of triggering or re-traumatising learners.**
