Organised by

New Era offer a range of training packages which are available to any business or organisation working in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.

These courses provide delegates with an understanding of the different types and forms of domestic abuse, an understanding of such abuse from the perspective of the perpetrator as well as the victim. The new Domestic Abuse Bill and other legislation designed to support the rights of victims are also covered. Delegates learn first-hand about the devastating effects of domestic abuse through the use of real life situations and case studies. These are also used to help identify issues arising from a situation and how to signpost to appropriate support available. The session concludes with a presentation on New Era’s services, including the referral pathways.

Currently, our training is being delivered online using Zoom but will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Domestic Abuse Workplace Champions

As part of our work in the community, New Era is operating with Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce to raise awareness of domestic abuse in the workplace. We lift the lid on what is often a taboo subject and train employees to become domestic abuse 'Workplace Champions' so they can signpost colleagues to the range of support available.
