Understanding Electromagnetic (CSEM) data in petroleum exploration – Looking back to the future
Charles Thomas, Senior Vice President - Africa and UK, EMGS
Arrive at 18:15 for an 18:30 start
Charles will present a candid appreciation of the evolution of CSEM technology. From the initial waterbed tank experiment in the late 1990’s, the first proof of concept marine acquisition in Angola through to modern wide azimuth 3D CSEM acquisition and interpretation techniques. He will provide a briefing on how EMGS has addressed industry adoption hurdles, leading to today’s CSEM value proposition for exploration companies competing in high-uncertainty environments.
