Understanding Emotions and Behaviour in Children with Complex Needs
What will this workshop involve?
Clinical Psychologists @ Beyond deliver a two hour online workshop to those caring for and/or supporting children and young people understand how emotions are managed and triggered in the brain, and therefore how to support young people, with emotions, sensory needs, and behaviours.
This workshop focuses specifically on the needs of children and young people who display social difficulties, attention & concentration difficulties and/ or attachment difficulties. We will explore some practical skills and approaches, to enable you to help children and young people manage their emotions and behaviour.
In this session, you will learn about various evidence-based activities to practice with children to enhance wellbeing and to make everyday interactions therapeutic. Handouts will be provided.
This workshop is aimed at parents of and/or those who work with children aged between 5 and 15.
