Event description

Description

Understanding Floral Tributes; a creative workshop on how to personalise sympathy flowers including a chance to make your own natural wreath with Essentially Hops.

This workshop will be part of 'The Big Conversation' - a day-long arts festival put on by Pilgrims Hospices including creative workshops, talks and stalls all designed to provoke conversations and provide information on death, dying and bereavement.

Flowers have been a part of the way we say goodbye to a loved one for thousands of years. Join us for a practical and reflective floristry workshop with a difference, as we discuss the meaning of flowers used in funeral and remembrance tributes and use materials from the Hospice garden to create natural wreaths. The workshop is open to all levels including those with no previous experience with floristry.

Materials and refreshments will be provided and participants are encouraged to stay for other activities we have running throughout the day.

For more information about the rest of the day or to book onto another workshop or activity at the festival please visit our website for a comprehensive guide of what's on.
