Event description

Description

Why is there so much inequality in the world?

World-famous economist Yanis Varoufakis will visit London’s Logan Hall for an exclusive pre-publication event this October to introduce his latest publication
Talking To My Daughter About the Economy. Written as a personal letter to his 11-year-old daughter, Xenia, Yanis sets out to explain what economics is and why it has the power to shape our lives. Come and enjoy an evening with the former economics lecturer and ex-Greek finance minister himself as he answers his daughter’s deceptively simple questions, helping to make sense of a troubling world while inspiring us to make it a better one.

The 3-date tour presented by Penguin Live will stop in London on 17th October. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear Yanis discussing some of the most important questions that face humanity today, making complex issues accessible to all.
Talking To My Daughter About the Economy is sure to draw readers of all ages closer to economics in the same way Jostein Gaarder’s Sophie’s World did for philosophy. Pre-publication copies of Yanis’s book are included with every ticket, meaning you’ll be the first to get your hands on a copy. There will also be the chance to ask your own burning questions about the economy during the audience Q&A.

Please note refunds will not be granted for this event once tickets have been purchased.
