The workshop will take you through:
- The key components of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships
- What apprenticeships look like in an HEI setting
- The employer in the driving seat – what this means for an HEI
- Employer input into curriculum design, training and assessment
- Setting up structures for on and off-the-job training
- Case study examples of HEIs who have set up effective Higher and Degree Apprenticeship programmes
Who this workshop is for?
For those looking to increase their understanding of Higher and Degree apprenticeships, how they work and the employer role. This, for example, may include senior managers, mid-level managers and teaching staff from HEIs, FE Colleges and current apprenticeship providers.
Facilitators and speakers
The workshop will be facilitated by SDN’s experts in Higher and Degree Apprenticeships and the reforms, with support from Adrian Anderson (Chief Executive of UVAC).
Why an SDN/UVAC workshop?
SDN and UVAC are experts in the apprenticeship reforms having supported and advised hundreds of apprenticeship providers across the country. They have been involved with employer groups developing standards and assessment plans including the first Degree Apprenticeships and were instrumental in the original piloting of Higher Apprenticeships
