Understanding How Conventions Collectives Work in France

One of the difficult aspects of running a business in France is understanding which employment rules to apply. Some essential rules are contained in the Convention Collective applicable to your industry but it is a cumbersome document with sometimes a constellation of accords applicable (or not!) to your business. In this session, we will look to understand how Conventions Collectives evolve, cover the type of information that may be contained in a convention collective, demystify some of the terminology such as “étendue” or “non-étendue” and how you should interpret differences with the labour code.
