Understanding Huntington's disease - a certificated course for professionals, is a three day online course providing a unique opportunity to learn from leading Huntington's experts and virtually meet with fellow professionals working with people affected by Huntington’s. We will help you develop a greater understanding of the disease, give you opportunity to share your experiences and ideas and discuss the management of complex situations. Leading Huntington’s disease professionals will present online over three days on topics such as genetics, neuro-psychology, psychiatry, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and palliative care. On finishing the course, you will receive a certificate confirming that you have undertaken training approved by the Huntington's Disease Association to enhance your practice.

Can I pay by invoice?

Preferred booking and payment method is by card through Eventbrite. In exceptional circumstances we can raise an invoice. Please contact our Ops team by calling 0151 331 5444 and pressing option 4 or by emailing info@hda.org.uk.

Can I attend if I have no previous knowledge of Huntington's disease?

Yes you can. We do offer a free overview which takes place monthly and is around 1-2 hours long, this session is for professionals who have no previous background of Huntington's who might benefit from an overview before the main online course. You can book here https://bit.ly/OverviewofHD.

Will it be recorded?

No it won't, but you will receive a copy of the presentations after the course.

I can no longer attend, can my colleague attend instead?

Please send any name changes to info@hda.org.uk before the event. If name changes aren't received before the event, this could cause delays and the attendee not being admitted onto the Zoom session.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes, this is a certificated course, attendees will receive one a few days after the event by email.

I can no longer attend, can I get a refund?

You can request a refund up to 30 days before the event starts. Alternatively we do accept name changes, please contact info@hda.org.uk. Eventbrite's fee is nonrefundable.
