Our CPD accredited LGBTQ+ training raises awareness of domestic abuse and the issues faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer + (LGBTQ+) people. This training is aimed at professionals from every sector, who are interested in expanding their knowledge and skills to support and empower LGBTQ+ victims and survivors.
At the end of the course participants will:
- Have an increased understanding of LGBTQ+ identities
- Have greater understanding of intersectionality
- Have better understanding of domestic abuse and experiences of LGBTQ+ people
- Understand the prevalence of abuse against LGBTQ+ victims
- Be aware of myths and stereotypes, and they connect with domestic abuse
- Increased understanding of barriers and requirements of LGBTQ+ individuals in accessing services
- Have greater confidence in supporting LGBTQ+ victims of domestic abuse
Certification - You will receive a certificate from the CPD accreditation service.
