Event description

Description

The Discover lecture series
Understanding mental health in autism

Join top autism and mental health experts to hear why anxiety, depression and suicide are so common in autism, and what is being done to help those experiencing these issues.

Alongside the academic experts, hear from an autistic adult about their own mental health journey.

Learn how the latest research is helping us to find ways to support autistic people to live happy, fulfilling lives. And hear how you can get involved.

The event will finish with an opportunity to question the experts.

Each attendee will be sent an e-leaflet on mental health in autism following the event.

Speakers:

Professor Emily Simonoff - Professor of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Kings College London

Dr James Cusack - Director of Science, Autistica

Autistic spokesperson - tbc
