About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

This session will provide attendees with a clear understanding of what microaggressions are, how they differ from overt discrimination, and the subtle ways they can appear in workplace interactions.

By exploring real-world examples, participants will learn to identify different forms of microaggressions and reflect on how power dynamics and unconscious bias shape these experiences. The session will also examine the impact of microaggressions on individuals and teams, offering practical ideas for fostering positive change.

Attendees will gain insights into promoting awareness and encouraging inclusive, respectful interactions that support equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within their organisations. They will also have the opportunity to engage with an ongoing research at London Metropolitan University and contribute to a growing body of knowledge in this area.
