Understanding One-Stop Shops for Retrofit with EST I RISE Masterclass
Overview
About this event
Join us for a peer learning session with the Energy Saving Trust (EST) to explore the role of energy one-stop shops in accelerating retrofit delivery across Great Britain.
With over 15 million homes rated EPC C or below, and energy bills expected to remain high, the need for accessible, impartial support is more urgent than ever. EST’s one-stop shop model offers a streamlined, consumer-focused approach to help households make informed decisions about energy upgrades.
In 2023/24 alone, EST’s one-stop shops supported over 161,000 people — providing advice, connecting them with trusted installers, and helping unlock funding for home improvements.
This session will explore:
- What energy one-stop shops are and how they work
- How they support households with energy efficiency and low carbon heating
- The impact of one-stop shops on behaviour change and retrofit uptake
- Collaboration with local governments to scale the model
- Lessons from delivering one-stop shops across England
This session is ideal for local authorities, housing providers, retrofit contractors, and anyone interested in scalable, inclusive models for retrofit delivery.
Speakers: Joanna O’Loan, Knowledge Manager, Energy Savings Trust.
