Understanding Orthopaedic Options

Information
Upper Limb injuries can be extremely painful and stressful to deal with, as often it is hard to target where the pain is originating from.
Within our clinic, there is sometimes overlap with patients who experience neck pain, too. This can be linked to the shoulder – and often, patients may present with pain in their arm, which they believe stems from a shoulder issue. Sometimes though, they need to see a spinal surgeon, alongside one of our Consultant Orthopaedic surgeons, as the two work closely together.
In this webinar, we will explore what BMI The Ridgeway Hospital has to offer, like access to some of the most experienced orthopaedic specialists in the country for best-in-class investigation, diagnosis and treatment for all orthopaedic-related conditions and symptoms.
Speakers
Mr Peter Dacombe is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based at the Great Western Hospital and BMI The Ridgeway Hospital. He has a specialist interest in Upper Limb Surgery with his main focus being surgery to the Shoulder and Elbow.
Peter graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 2007 before undertaking basic training in London and completing an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine, before continuing basic and higher surgical training in the South West (Severn) region, primarily in Bristol and the surrounding hospitals.
Peter brings a modern and patient-centred approach to his practice at the Ridgeway with a focus on accurate diagnosis, shared decision making and utilising modern surgical and non-surgical techniques to get the best outcomes for his patients.
Mr Dacombe will be joined by a member of our physiotherapy team, who will talk about the journey to recovery.
