Unconscious bias is a topical subject but can be misunderstood, dismissed or only considered in the strict context of discrimination law. Being the output of past memories stored in our unconscious brain, unconscious bias applies in all our interactions with each other and is crucial when looking at behaviours such as stigma.

Victoria Hall
Victoria believes that the most important but often neglected responsibility is understanding ourselves and the environment in which our employees work. Victoria’s extensive employment law knowledge, coupled with her dedication to understanding how the brain works through neuroscience, allows her to offer unique and meaningful solutions to clients who want to develop collaborative, growth oriented working environments. Victoria has worked with CEOs, middle management and individuals, facilitating positive results in attitudes, relationships, resilience, change programmes and embedding culture. Victoria also builds self-awareness into her L&D work as an essential precursor to learning. Victoria is a Trustee for the charity, Mind, Deputy CMI Wales, a mum of two young daughters and does a lot of running!

Clive Hyland
For the past twelve years, Clive has been using neuroscientific insights as the central core of his coaching practice. During this time he has worked primarily coaching Business Leaders and their Top Teams, supporting them to lead strategic business and cultural change. Having previously studied both psychology and sociology he now focuses on neuroscience to bring a fresh and powerful understanding of what it really takes to get the best out of people and organisations. He can personally call on 30 years of business experience including leadership roles in sizable organisations. Apart from top team facilitation and 1 to 1 executive coaching, Clive also runs coaching masterclass programmes for coaches, HR and L&D professionals who wish to integrate neuroscience into their knowledge and practice.
Author of books “Connect: through Think, Feel, Know” and, most recently, “The Neuro-Edge: People Insights for Leaders and Practitioners”
