Understanding Past and Future Lives

By Kadampa Meditation Centre Kent

Overview

Happiness beyond this life

Who am I? Where did I come from? What am I doing here? Where am I going? What does it mean to be alive?

These are some of the profound questions we will be exploring in this course.

Buddha explained that our mental continuum is perpetual, a ceaseless cycle of consciousness, whereas our physical bodies are fragile and impermanent. In reality, we are travellers bound for future lives. This world is not our permanent home.  By understanding the nature of our mind and the existence of past and future lives, we gain a broader and wiser perspective on our life and on what comes next.

Through gaining insights into these fundamental Buddhist beliefs, we can become more peaceful, live with greater purpose and chart a course for future happiness and success.

This course is suitable for everyone, from complete beginners to experienced meditators, and is taught by Buddhist Nun Kelsang Oden in the beautiful Green Room at The Grand Hotel in Folkestone.
