Join Bristol Parent Carers and SmallTalk for a supportive session exploring Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)
During the session we will explore:
- What Pathological Demand Avoidance is and why certain everyday tasks can feel overwhelming for your child or young person
- The typical behaviours linked to PDA, such as avoidance, or sudden emotional shifts and discover subtle signs that often get misunderstood or overlooked.
- Approaches that tend to work well for children with PDA and understanding how to reduce anxiety and build trust in daily routines.
- Guidance to support you in handling tricky situations such as transitions, school related stress and more.

*Please note, to attend this event you must live in Bristol (your bin will be collected by Bristol City Council) or your child must attend a school in the Bristol city area and you must have a child with Special Educational Needs but they do not need to have a diagnosis.
