As part of our Neuroinclusion at Work series, Mindroom invites you to our webinar exploring Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) a term often used within neurodivergent communities to describe intense emotional responses to perceived rejection, criticism, or exclusion.
This session will focus on how RSD can affect neurodivergent colleagues in the workplace, particularly in the context of formal and informal feedback.
Guest Speaker: Alvin van Asselt
Alvin is an autistic PhD student and researcher at GGz Centraal, a major Dutch healthcare provider. His research focuses on RSD in autism, what it is, what may cause it, and how individuals can be supported in managing its effects.
In this session, Alvin will:
- Give an overview of what is currently known about RSD
- Explore potential causes and contributing factors
- Share strategies and approaches that may help individuals manage RSD
- Present findings from his recent research studies
Panel Q&A: Lived Experience Perspectives
We also hope to include a Q&A panel featuring individuals with lived experience, who will share their reflections on navigating feedback and emotional sensitivity in professional settings. (Panel details to be confirmed.)
Session Chair: Nelly Whaley
Training Manager at Mindroom, Nelly will chair the session and facilitate the discussion.
This webinar is open to everyone, whether you have lived experience, support neurodivergent colleagues, or simply want to learn more about RSD and inclusive workplace practices. Register now to be part of the conversation.
