About this event

  • 3 hours 30 minutes

Staff in the migrant sector often see people who are homeless, including people sleeping rough. There is a range of homelessness services available from local authorities, charities and community groups in London. Understanding these services, and how to access them, will help staff in both the migrant and homelessness sectors to work together effectively in order to provide holistic support to their clients.

This course is designed for immigration Solicitors and staff in the migrant sector who want to develop their knowledge and understanding of homelessness and rough sleeping in London. Delegates will learn about: definitions and causes of homelessness; housing and support services available; how to find services; and how to develop links with the homelessness sector. There'll be small group activities, as well as time for questions and discussion. The course workbook includes links to further information and resources.

Please note this training programme is funded by the GLA and so is for people who are working in London.

Please ensure you can attend the date of the training course, this training is fully funded but there is still a cost to managing and delivering this training programme so it's important you attend if you book on.
