Description

A teaspoon of soil contains up to one billion bacteria, fungy and other weird and wonderful life. Understanding how they interract with plants and promote growth is the key to having a healthy garden. This session will go through what is actually soil life, how it works, how to make the best compost and how to use a wormery to create natural fertiliser for your garden..

Trainer - Julie Smith

Julie is the Garden Manager at the Skip Garden in Kings Cross. Part of her job is to design, create and maintain food gardens for local businesses. She also runs Capital Growth's show garden in London’s Regent’s Park. Julie works as a consultant on various growing projects across London and is passionate about organic growing techniques.
