Understanding Substance Use in Children and Young People
Join us for a training session led by Luke Adcock, Service Manager for The Matthew Project’s YouCan and Unity services, which support young people affected by substance use across Norfolk. With 20 years’ experience working directly with children and young people affected by substance misuse, Luke brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insight.
This training is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to better understand substance use among children and young people.
In this session, you will:
- Learn about different types of substances
- Understand the risks posed by specific substances, including cannabis, alcohol, ketamine, MDMA, and illicit vaping
- Develop knowledge of local trends affecting children and young people
- Identify the different stages of drug use
This session is ideal for professionals working with young people who want to deepen their understanding of substances and strengthen their practice.
Location: Coleman Room at Norfolk Showground.
