Join the Greater Manchester Homelessness Action Network for our next full network event focusing on SWEP provision in Greater Manchester.
Severe Weather Emergency Protocol is a crisis, humanitarian response activated during periods of extreme weather to protect people who are rough sleeping. In a time of increased demand, reduced capacity and heightened risk, how can we work together to ensure that SWEP provision across Greater Manchester maintains that humanity, and stays compassionate, consistent, and effective?
At the event, we will:
- Clarify the definition and expectations of SWEP
- Explore how different local authorities across GM activate and deliver SWEP
- Share resources, best practices, and positive examples of collaboration.
The GMHAN is a collaborative partnership of people with lived experience of homelessness, frontline organisations, managers, commissioners, and decision-makers. We warmly welcome anyone with a professional, personal or general interest in improving outcomes for people experiencing homelessness in our community to join us for this event. Please share this invitation with colleagues, volunteers, and the people you support, and encourage them to join us.
If you or your organisation supports SWEP delivery and would like to contribute to our event by sharing your insights, best practice, or experiences, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch at info@gmhan.net.
