Understanding the 2017 Periodontal Classification by Paul Renton-Harper

Paul is a Specialist in Periodontics running his own practice Renton-Harper Periodontics in Clifton, Bristol.

He qualified from Bristol Dental Hospital in 1986, undertook Specialist Training at University of Bristol between 1988 -1992 & then worked as Consultant at Bristol Dental Hospital.

He has 22 years experience as a specialist periodontist, teaching undergraduates and postgraduates as well as lecturing in the UK and internationally.

This course aims to ensure practitioners are up to date with current best practice in managing periodontal disease and is specifically relevant to dentists, hygienists and dental therapists but dental nurses are welcome to attend.

Aims:

• to understand the new 2017 periodontal classification

• to understand the aetiology of periodontal disease and it’s diagnosis

• To understand how to implement this classification in general dental practice to improve your patient care.
