“Understanding the administration of medication to individuals with dementia using a person-centred approach”

 

Learning Outcomes:

1.  Understand the common medications available to, and appropriate for individuals with dementia 

2.  Understand how to provide person centred care to individuals with dementia through the appropriate and effective use of medication

 31st January 2019 - “Understanding the process and experience of dementia”

 

 28th February 2019 - “Understanding the diversity of individuals with dementia and the importance of inclusion”

 

 28th March 2019 - "Understand the role of communication and interactions with individuals who have dementia"

 

 

All sessions will be held in Sandwell, venue to be confirmed, and will start at 9.30am (with registration from 9.15am) and finish at 4.30pm.

 

These sessions make up the Level 2 ‘Award in Awareness of Dementia’, accredited by the Open College Network London Region (OCNLR). Delegates can apply to undertake the qualification by emailing info@dementiapathfinders.org

 

To fulfil the requirements of the qualification, learners will be required to complete a series of assignments for assessment. A fee of £160 will be charged to cover the cost of registration with OCNLR, administration and marking.
