Understanding the Basics of Sales - This workshop has been developed to help two types of individuals, those who are not natural sales people that would like to learn sales techniques and those who would like to brush up their sales skills. You will learn skills that YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH and understand that selling is not a dark art; you do not have to be an “in your face salesperson” to win business. In this workshop we take the fear out of sales and give you basic sales skills that will help you win more business.

My name is Julie Futcher and I have nearly 20 years experience within a sales role, both in business to business and also business to consumer. During my career I have successfully trained many individuals to sell by developing their own style but using tried and tested sales techniques. I understands how daunting it can be to have to pick up the telephone or meet with clients/customers face to face with the view of interesting them in the product or service that is being offered. In my first recruitment role, I had a real fear of the telephone and my manager had to bribe me with a Mars Bar to get me to make the cold calls required for the role. This fear soon passed, however, my love of Mars Bars has not!!!!! I have established The Sales Manager to support and train small business owners who are not natural sales people. I also provide a sales support service which provides telesales/telemarking, assisting in managing sales staff, help with setting and managing KPI’s and well as one to one coaching.
