Understanding the EHRC: Clarity, Rights, and Real Allyship. RSA LGBTQIA+

Overview

This will be our fifth meeting in a series of virtual meetings designed to bring together members of the LGBTQIA+ Network.

On January 19th, the RSA LGBTQIA+ Network invites Fellows and staff to gather for a timely and illuminating conversation with Keyne Walker, Strategy Director at TransActual.

As recent EHRC guidance and calls for legislation spark debate and uncertainty, this session offers space to look beyond the noise and toward clarity, compassion, and evidence. Keyne will unpack the proposals affecting trans people, dispel common myths, and highlight the real-world implications for rights, dignity, and community wellbeing.

Together, we will explore what thoughtful allyship looks like; steady, informed, and rooted in the RSA’s commitment to a future where everyone can flourish. This event is an invitation to pause the headlines, deepen understanding, and strengthen our collective resolve to champion inclusive practice. For those shaping ideas, workplaces, and communities, it is a chance to learn how to respond with wisdom rather than reflex, and to stand firmly for a more just and generous world.
