Upcoming Online Workshop for Parent Carers

Understanding the Graduated Response in Derbyshire Schools

What is a Graduated Response?

Join us for an informative online session exploring the Assess, Plan, Do, Review process and the levels of universal, targeted, and specialist provision in Derbyshire schools.

This workshop will help parent carers understand how schools identify and support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) through a structured, inclusive approach.

We’ll cover:

  • What the Graduated Response looks like in practice
  • How schools assess and plan for individual needs
  • The importance of pupil voice and family involvement
  • Strategies used across the four areas of SEND
  • How universal, targeted, and specialist support is delivered

This session is ideal for any parent carer wanting to better understand how schools work to meet the needs of children and young people with SEND.
