Welcome to Hidayah’s Everyday Allyship Training Series, our short sessions are created to provide individuals and organisations the tools to better support Queer Muslims across all areas of life.
Our first session of the series explores Queer Muslim identity and experiences, and how you can best support us through active allyship.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the lived experience of LGBTQIA+ Muslims in workplaces, communities, and faith spaces.
- Explore barriers, misconceptions, and stereotypes that Queer Muslims face.
- Learn inclusive practices, key dates in the calendar, and how to embed allyship in your organisation.
Who should attend?
- Staff and volunteers in LGBTQ+ organisations
- Counsellors, therapists, and wellbeing practitioners
- Migrant & refugee support workers (esp. LGBTQ+ asylum seekers)
- HR, DEI and workplace wellbeing professionals
- Health and wellbeing staff networks (private sector)
- Anyone from non professional backgrounds who is curious about the lived experience of Queer Muslims

Location: Online (Zoom)
Date & Time: This 1.5-hour session will be offered twice:
- Tuesday, 14th October - 10:00–11:30
- Thursday, 16th October - 14:00–15:30
Trainer
An experienced member of the Hidayah team will lead this session. Further details will be shared closer to the event.
