Understanding the Signs Of Domestic Abuse & Coercive Control in the Church

Welcome to our online event where we will delve into the really important topic of domestic abuse and coercive control within the church community.

Domestic Abuse is a hot topic for churches, we will help you understand the profile of a person who causes harm and how churches can support those who are harmed and understand the difference between parental conflict and domestic abuse.

Domestic Abuse is a mandatory report into childrens social care. The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 states that children are classed as victims in their own right if they live in a household where Domestic Abuse is occuring.

Shortly after booking here, you will be given access to our elearning module and then this face to face session then explores the topic in more detail with an opportunity to ask questions at both the strategic and operational level for church leaders, designated safeguarding leads and members of churches. Its also an opportunity to receive support from our Domestic Abuse Specialist.

Join us for insightful discussions, case studies , and practical advice on how to recognize and address these issues. Together, let's create a safe and supportive environment for all. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn and grow!
