Understanding Tourette Syndrome Online Training

This workshop will provide participants with a clear understanding of tic disorders, exploring the differences between motor and vocal tics, and distinguishing Tourette's syndrome from other tic conditions. We'll examine the typical features and developmental course of these disorders while addressing common myths and misconceptions that often surround them.

Participants will gain insight into the complex nature of Tourette’s and tic disorders, including frequently co-occurring conditions such as ADHD, OCD, and anxiety. The workshop will highlight the significant social and emotional impact these conditions can have on individuals' lives, fostering greater empathy and understanding.

Importantly, this session will equip attendees with practical approaches for supporting individuals with Tourette’s and tic disorders, providing evidence-based strategies that can be implemented in educational, professional, or community settings.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
