Who is this training for?
This training is suitable for individuals whose work brings them into contact with grieving adults, for example: health and social care staff, faith leaders, emergency service personnel, and charities.
What will I learn?
During this training, you will:
- Gain an understanding of the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that accompany grief.
- Increase your understanding of the nature of traumatic bereavement and awareness of the impact of trauma on grieving.
- Develop greater confidence in providing support to, and communicating with, traumatically bereaved people.
- Develop an awareness of the challenges of the work and the importance of looking after yourself.
- Receive information about Child Bereavement UK and other support organisations, and resources available.
Before booking on any training, please read our training terms and conditions. We encourage prospective participants to consider their own experience of loss and how it might affect them during training. Our training may not be suited to someone who has experienced a recent bereavement.
