Understanding Your Emotions and Helping Yourself To Feel Good

About this Event

As we’re growing up, we learn so many skills – we learn to read and write, to do maths, and maybe to play a musical instrument, to play games and sports and to speak a foreign language. But young people are hardly ever helped to learn some of the most important life skills – including the skills involved in managing their emotions. With so many young people struggling emotionally these days, it’s especially important for them to learn effective ways of helping themselves to be happier, to feel less anxious and to become more resilient when they’re under stress.

The Seren Academy sessions will draw on research from Positive Psychology to increase students’ understanding of their emotions and to help them learn practical emotional skills. Over three lively and entertaining online sessions, students will learn about the psychology of happiness and wellbeing, as well as anxiety and stress, and they will learn many practical ways of regulating their emotions.
