Understanding your role in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

The well-known phrase ‘Diversity is being invited to the party, inclusion is being invited to dance’ is often used to demonstrate the difference between representation and involvement for all groups. However, it also suggests that you have to be in a position to invite to have a role in equality, diversity and inclusion. In this session we will explore personal cultural diversity, consider judgement that we all make about those approaching life in a different way to ourselves and reflect on individual roles for everyone at ‘the party’.
