Understanding your whole school EAL provision: Part 2 (Webinar)

By The Bell Foundation
Online event

Overview

Exploring further ideas and resources for evaluating and developing your EAL provision in light of Ofsted’s updated inspection framework.

In our previous webinar, we looked at how schools can use The Bell Foundation’s Whole School Self-Evaluation to understand and develop their EAL provision, and we heard from practitioners about their experiences. Since then, Ofsted has launched its new framework which now includes a specific focus on EAL within the Curriculum and Teaching evaluation area.

In this webinar, we will look more closely at activities that will help inform your understanding of your school’s EAL provision, and will in turn shape future development. We will explore further examples of how practitioners from partner school practitioners, highlighting how they have evaluated their own provision, and what they have learned in the process.

In the webinar, we will introduce free new tools for schools to use in evaluating their EAL provision, including:

  • Lesson observation form with EAL focus;
  • Pupil pursuit proformas;
  • Whole school environment checklist;
  • Pupil voice pro-forma.
