UNEP FI is excited to announce that the UNEP FI Regional Roundtable for Africa and Middle East will take place, in-person, on 14-15 June 2023 in Windhoek , Namibia. The event will convene UNEP FI members and the finance community to discuss the next steps to mainstreaming sustainable finance in Africa and Middle East. Participants will have the opportunity to explore regulations and their effects on sustainable finance, climate mitigation, and adaptation action, financial health and inclusion, sustainable insurance, nature-related risks, existing projects and partnerships in the regions, and much more.

Following the Roundtable, the Nairobi Declaration Sustainable Insurance will host a series of workshops where speakers and participants will explore ways in which African insurance companies can start their ESG journey on 16 June, in Windhoek, Namibia.
