Uneven Ground: Speaking Class
Overview
Uneven Ground provides a space to explore how class shapes our everyday lives, often in subtle, uneven, and deeply rooted ways. Join us for a monthly series of online events over the coming months. These sessions will bring together a range of voices to reflect on the complex interplay between class, place, and identity.
Drawing on insights from researchers across the arts and humanities, the series encourages critical engagement with how class influences the ways we see, navigate, and make sense of the world around us. The programme will culminate in an in-person gathering, designed to bring these conversations together through cooperative, generative dialogue.
This week's seminar will explore how class shapes voice(s) and language(s) within community, art and media.
In this session, we will hear from three speakers on this topic, followed by a Q&A. Details of confirmed speakers are below. More details (including speaker bios) TBC.
This event will be held on Teams. Once you order a ticket, you'll receive a confirmation email with access details, and a reminder will be sent closer to the event date. The access link can also be found under 'location' on the event page. If you encounter any issues, please get in touch with the event organisers.
