UNFILTERED Humanity Fashion Show is a collective of local Cincinnati fashion designers, fine artists, entrepreneurs, and musicians in pursuit of bringing attendees through a visual journey of the common Human Condition we face. The night will serve as a social opportunity to network and gather local Cincinnati artists all while enjoying local Cincinnati food trucks and live bands during social hour. During the fashion show, the climax of the night, you will embark on a journey starting in the depths of human sorrow and struggle until the entire room has arrived in a state of glorious triumph, resilience, and strength; victory over humanity's darkest places.
Political polarity, the covid-virus, and warfare overseas have heightened division amongst us over the last few years. We seek to oppose this lens of division through the arts. This will not only communicate a unifying picture of humanity for all who attend, but will also serve as a visual journey of the women our event supports as they battle from a life of sex trafficking to one with healing and wholeness. We are supporting nonprofit, Weightless Anchor, who is located in our local Price Hill area. Weightless Anchor guides these women out of a life of brokenness and into one of identity and purpose.
By looking at these stories of fear, pain, and trial, within the human experience, we can better understand the human condition, the victories we have had, and the victories which we can seek to help marginalized people groups achieve. Step into a desire for truth and a visual cry to switch out our glasses for another pair. Glasses that allow us to see each other, especially those outside of our own experience.
This is a call to be unified in our humanity and to fight for those who cannot. Prepare to fight for and see our stories and journeys, UNFILTERED.
