Unfiltered: Pottery Marketplace
Event Information
Description
THE PARTY
This is your Sunday - Funday filled with all things ceramics in an unconventional arts space. Come out and support over 20 local Chicago ceramic potters/sculptors/makers. Browse the wares, meet the artists, drink beers from Brooklyn Brewery and jam to Blue Mud, a musical trio comprised of Bill Hyland (upright bass), Frank Raven (harmonica) and Doni VanBeek (vocals and guitar), playing classic Blues. A second set will be performed by Elliot Taggart (piano) and Davor Palos (vocals), experimenting with outtakes from an original opera.
Each $8 ticket gets you the following:
-
Live music with Blue Mud and Elliot Taggart and Davor Palos
-
3 Brooklyn Beer Tokens (Lager or Summer Ale)
-
A raffle ticket for prizes: the artist raffle that will include multiple giveaways of one-of-a-kind ceramics from many of the attending artists! Brooklyn Brewery is also raffling off a Sorachi Ace Home Brew Kit and other key items
-
Tons of Brooklyn Brewery Swag incuding: stickers, beer huggies, keychains and more!
Remember, this is a marketplace and in addition to the great raffle prizes, there will be many incredible functional and decorative works of art available for sale by the artists themselves.
UNFILTERED
Unfiltered is group which is led by artists, and works to promote local art and artists of various mediums. This year we are hosting an exclusive 4 hour pop-up shop celebrating all things clay. Be prepared to find your new favorite mug, planter, vase or sculpture (and more) made with love, right here in Chicago.
We would like to thank Unfiltered's new sponsor: Lincoln Square Pottery Studio & Learning Center. LSPS & LC is a not-for-profit studio that over the last 13 years has become an integral part of Chicago's ceramics community. This creative space offers adult and children's classes as well as pottery work-shops and personalized mini sessions. LSPS-LC continues to provide a welcoming environment for new and established artists to learn and grow. Brooklyn Brewery continues to back Unfiltered in it's second event, to which we owe a big thank you! Brooklyn Brewery is built around the concept of giving back and supporting music, arts, and culture.
