Join us on Saturday the 24th May, where UCB will be taking part in the Birmingham Pride Parade with 7 other local universities to show our support for our LGBTQ+ students and colleagues!

By signing up, you also have the chance to win a free ticket to the main festival (worth £75)!

Birmingham Pride brings together each year tens of thousands of members of the LGBTQ+ community, family and friends, allies, and supporters in celebration of LGBTQ+ equality. Seven local institutions have joined together to celebrate their LGBTQ+ communities, including: Arden University, Aston University, Birmingham City University, Birmingham Newman University, University College Birmingham, University of Birmingham, University of Law and University of Wolverhampton - together, we form the sectoral contingent at the Birmingham Pride Parade to demonstrate our joint commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusivity in higher education.

Our parade team participants will have access to The Exchange, where you will have access to free water and on-site cafeteria. Additionally, The Exchange has washroom facilities, as well as gender neutral toilet, baby changing room, changing room facilities for members who wish to change their outfits, and quiet space for neurodivergent participants and colleagues. Participants are requested to arrive at The Exchange between 10:30 to 11:15 on the day.

Please note, this event is only open to UCB staff, students and alumni and guests - if you have booked on and are not one of these your ticket will be cancelled.
