Please complete the form to indicate your attendance or otherwise.
If you can't attend and wish to submit your apologies, please select the apologies option on the form. Thank you.
ALL CNR, South West Committee and Strategic Committee members need to register their attendance.
Why do I need to register to attend this meeting?
Registration of your attendance means we can properly set up the conference and meeting rooms. It also means that we can be greener by providing an appropriate amount of documentation on the day, and when lunch is provided, cater accordingly. Please note, catering is not being provided on this occasion, although you welcome to help yourself to tea, coffee and water.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Public transport - Should you choose to use public transport, the office is within walking distance of the Taunton train station, and local bus stops and the main bus station. Please see the map link for location of the office.
Travelling by Car - For those driving, free parking is available on site, but please note we cannot guarantee the number of parking spaces available on the day. There are a number of alternative public car parks within a short walk of the office. All three public car parks are within walking distance of the office, Boots car park, Crescent Way, Taunton, TA1 4EA; Castle Street, Taunton, TA1 4AS and Tangier Car Park (also known as Enfield) TA1 4AY. Taunton offers two park and ride services too.
If the barrier is down, please press the intercom, state who you are, and your reason for attendance. Someone will let you in.
Once parked, go to the conference room entrance (situated towards the rear of the building where the white railings are) to enter. Press the intercom on the white pillar. Again state who you are and why you need access. Someone will let you in.
I am a member of a strategic committee. Do I have to attend the whole meeting?
Yes; if you have been emailed directly, it's because you are a member of the South West Committee or a Strategic Committee, so should attend if possible. If in doubt, please contact the event organiser. The majority of members have voting rights, but some, on the South West Committee itself may be restricted, depending on your nomination path to the South West Committee or Strategic Committees. However, everyone can contribute to discussions and debates.
Is lunch provided?
No, not on this occasion. However, there are numerous cafés and shops within a short walking distance of the office, and as usual tea and coffee facilities are available on site. Those wishing to, can bring their lunch into the meeting room to eat during the break, or eat in the kitchen area, although your consideration of others and tidying up after yourself would be appreciated.
What do I do if I need to bring a facilitator or have access requirements?
There is an access ramp into the Conference Centre. There are also a number of disabled parking spaces on site. Should anyone have any requirements, such as large print, documentation required on a specific coloured paper, please ensure those details are provided when registering your attendance.
Do I need any other paperwork?
An agenda will be sent out a approximately two weeks ahead of the meeting, along with any documentation available at that time. Should any papers be received after this date, they will be sent out where possible, otherwise papers may be tabled on the day of the meeting.
I have another question and it's not answered here. Who do I contact?
There is a 'anything else' box for queries about these meetings on the registration form, it will be looked at after registration closes, therefore, if your query is of an urgent nature, please email Jenn Gollings, the event organiser (c/o firstname.lastname@example.org or c/o 01823 285318).
