The Units United conference is the annual professional development event specifically for education staff who work in CAMHS inpatient Units. This not to be missed event will give you an opportunity to hear from key people working in our sector and multi-agency partners, along with a chance to hear about best practice from colleagues working in the same environment as yourselves in a selection of individual workshops. If you work in an inpatient CAMHS Unit, and choose to do only one piece of professional development this year, make it this one!
Our keynote speakers will look at autism in our classrooms, how to make effective use of AI and of course, to hear key messages from a young person with previous experience of our settings. Workshops include: creative writing and drama, eating disordered children in the classroom, strategies to engage children in our settings with emotionally driven non attendance, making use of Canva an AI, engagement in a low secure unit, learning from a STEM project with industry, using gaming to support emotional health and wellbeing, the role of art and creativity across the curriculum to support mental health, wellbeing and emotional development, along with national updates for the sector
